We’re all given the opportunity to choose what we truly want in this life, if you want to continue to show love too him you do so. If you don’t want to, you have that choice too.

I suggest you pray about it, and hope for the best outcome. It’s adultery, plain and simple, and has been going on since who knows when.

Men tend to fall for lustful things in this world, as do some women, but in the end it’s the children of yahweh who will inherit what yahweh promised us.

Peace and blessing too you, I am sorry that this tragedy is something you have to experience.

I just want to say thank you for not shunning her. My sister-in-law got pregnant and my brother was pretty scared to tell us, but we made the choice to celebrate the life that was coming into the world and now they are married so it really all worked out. But I know many women who were shunned by their parents when they got pregnant at a young age and it was so traumatic for them.

At that age, they already know what they did and that it was wrong. Celebrating the baby coming into the world doesn’t mean you’re celebrating the sin or encouraging it. She’s scared, you’re shocked, there’s a lot of mixed emotions here but going forward hopefully she makes better choices and you all can celebrate a beautiful new life.

And it sounds like it’s a good family and the kid will have a good father which is the best case given the scenario. Hopefully his family will be just as understanding and that the two families can come together to support the new child – and the parents as they try to embrace this unexpected twist in their life.

How do we forgive and genuinely love the countless amounts of people who actively seek our destruction and laugh at our suffering?

When we forgive someone, it isn’t just for their sake, it is also for ours. Forgiveness allows the hatred to leave our hearts, and will give us the capacity to love again.

The word forgive in the bible comes from the Greek word: aphiemi, which means “to send forth” or “send away.”

Pray to God that he send the hatred away from your heart, and heals you. Then you can move on with your life.

    Proverbs 25:21-22 KJV

If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, And the LORD shall reward thee.

    Mark 11:25

“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

    Matthew 6:12

“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”

    Luke 11:4

“And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”

    1 John 4:20

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”

    Colossians 3:13

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

    Matthew 18:21-22 KJV

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

    Luke 17:3-4 KJV

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

    Ephesians 4:32

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Read the book of Hosea in the bible. Don’t grow weary doing good, and loving your wife is good because it is obedient to your call as a husband. Your marriage is not over because the feelings have changed. You made a vow before God and witnesses for better or for worse.

Continue loving your wife as Christ loves the church. Just as the wife is called to respect and obey her husband in the Lord, whether he is following God’s commandments to husbands, you are called to love her and lay down your life for her even if she is not obedient to His commandments to wives. Your life is a living sacrifice to God, dying to your own desires.

Move back into your family home. Talk to your wife. She is listening, even if she is pretending to ignore you. Pray for her. Take charge over your home, and do not accept defeat. I am not advocating for a hostile or violent takeover, but for steely resolve and loving firmness. Find a church with a solid men’s group to spur you on, pray with you, and keep you sharp as iron sharpens iron. Lean into your faith and this situation will refine you. You’re blessed

Your father was right. In fact, I don’t personally know any pastor that would have married them if they both weren’t Christian. Every church I’ve been to even makes the couples take marriage courses prior to being allowed to be married in their churches. The fact that this woman is like a daughter to him makes me agree with him even more. The Bible is clear on not being unequally yoked. Your father, as a pastor, has his duty to uphold it on his end as an officiant. Marriage with someone who doesn’t hold the same beliefs as us is going to be wrought with hardships. More so than most marriages. I’ve seen it destroy entire families. I’m seeing first hand what it’s doing to my brother. That is not a fate I would wish on anyone. I’m sure your father feels the same. Your friend shouldn’t even be dating this man, let alone marrying him.
