I have tried asking somewhere else and also looking up the answers on Google, and I mostly just see other Christian’s saying that nowhere in the Bible is sex before marriage a sin. I would like unbiased answers from people who are not obsessed with sex and saying whatever they can to justify. I am not a virgin myself, but I do notice that a lot of these answers I saw do just seem like justification for their own lives. I want to know because I personally want to wait until I am married for sex. I am new in my faith but when dating it often goes south after a bit now because I want to wait. And their excuse usually is that they want a “real” relationship, and apparently a relationship is only real if you’re having sex. Can anyone tell me what God actually says about sex before marriage? I am not asking for opinions at all, or anyone’s personal thoughts on this, only facts and what the Bible actually says.

The Bible teaches that sex is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman. It doesn’t use the exact phrase “premarital sex,” but condemns it as sexual immorality (Greek: porneia, including fornication).
• 1 Corinthians 7:2 — “But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.” (Marriage is the God-given solution to avoid immorality.)
• Hebrews 13:4 — “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.” (The marriage bed is pure; all other sexual activity is immoral.)
• 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 — “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor…”
• 1 Corinthians 6:18 — “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” The Bible views sex as a beautiful gift for the lifelong covenant of marriage (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6). Anything outside that—including before marriage—is sinful, but forgiveness is available through Christ (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
